Boston Massacre





The Boston Massacre was a Rebellion between the British soldiers and the colonist. This occurred on March 5, 1770 the night before the Boston Massacre British troops and the Bostonian's had a clash. Bostonian's where throwing snowballs at the soldiers for being there. Soldiers soon became really mad and threatened the Bostonian's with there weapons. Private Matthew Kilroy was with Samuel Gray, one of the men to be killed at the Boston Massacre. Kilroy is later was convicted of manslaughter for Gray’s murder. Right before the shooting started, a Soldier hit a boy with his rifle’s butt for insulting a British officer. The British soldiers pulled up there weapons and started shooting. Patrick Carr, Samuel Maverick, and James Caldwell were also shot by the soldiers. Six people in the crowd were hurt but not killed. The British Soldiers are responsible for the murdering. Most British soldiers were arrested but they were all plead not guilty. Five colonists were killed in the Boston Massacre. This had a huge impact on British citizens and American citizens.
